Came here with some friends and sat outside in their little street! The calamari was delicious and the pasta was perfectly al dente (although I like mine a little overcooked). I ordered the squid ink paccheri (8/10) and it had a good amount of crab but I wish there were more than 4 shrimp in it! I also tried the oxtail from the pappardelle which was tender and flavorful and my other friends got the special which was a lamb bolognese with mushrooms. All the protein was cooked to perfection. Everything was good here but nothing wowed me enough to try to come back again soon. If it's your birthday they should put a candle in your dessert but you have to our base the dessert!
I'm unwell at host DELICIOUS every single item on the table was. the staff were incredible, the space was cozy and the glasses were never empty. An absolute staple whenever I'm in Williamsburg. We enjoyed: Appetizers: Octopus - Almond ajo blanco, sweet peppers, grape salmoriglio Squash Blossoms Tempura - Buffalo mozzarella, cetera anchovies, lemon Peach Salad - Shaved zucchini, mint, stracciatella, vincotto Arancini - Porcini mushroom risotto & mozzarella croquettes, black garlic truffle aioli Mains (pictured) Orecchiette -Summer squash, lemon, buffalo mozzarella, muller bottarga, breadcrumbs Strangozzi- Summer truffles, umbrian extra virgin olive oil, pecorino Ravioli Burrata- Eggplant, tomatoes, basil pesto, cacio di fossa The affogato didn't get pictured but I'll have dreams about it!
Like always never disappoints. Love coming here the outdoor seating area is quiet, service is always great and employees are attentive. Went for a quick lunch and ordered the kale salad with the grilled shrimp was nervous about this but it was surprisingly very good, balanced and the dressing was creamy, shrimp was so fresh and had a nice sear to it. Also ordered the pasta with the oxtail and omg so so good! Very flavorful smooth and just creamy. The drinks were also amazing love how simple the menu is here but yet the food is always flavorful and fresh!
I've been to Aurora twice already and I've been so pleased both times! The outside garden is such a wonderful experience in the Spring. The food is so tasty and unique. There are some standard dishes but they mostly are creative twists on classics. The service was absolutely solid as well.
The energy on Grand Ave is just amazing.. Dinner with my fav and this was his choice. Reservations were booked and we waited about 5-10 minutes before being seated in the inner dining room. The place was packed. The room was filled with a number of different cultures and it was cool. I did not like being seated so close to other parties but I guess you have to maximize space when you can. We tried the Octopus for appetizer which was a tease as far as portion. The papperdelle had a very odd smell and it may have been the padano and I did not like the texture of pasta.. it was hard. The steak and potatoes were delish. Everything was small in portion and while I did enjoy myself, I did not like having to be so close to the party sitting next to me. Still a great dining experience
So happy we snagged a rsvp to this restaurant while I was home for the holidays! Located in Williamsburg, this resto is inviting and in a perfect location. The space is nice. They have an outdoor covered patio. It was warm and we ate there. They also have an uncovered section. The food is delicious and the service is superb. We feasted on: - the #octopus and the seared #scallops as starters. Both were tender and delicious. The scallops were buttery and melted in your mouth - squid ink pasta - ooohh the seafood, delish and the pasta shape is actually looked like squid! - the ravioli with burrata cheese with mushrooms - divine - Cacio e Pepe - spicy and creamy The entire dinner was amazing! Great cocktails! If you're ever in Brooklyn, book this resto.
This restaurant is so pretty and the food was great too! I do however wish that the menu had more pasta options and more variety for vegetarians. Nonetheless, the ricotta cheese bread and the truffle mushroom ravioli we had was delicious! Seating was very cramped and tables were placed very close to eachother.
Best. Thanksgiving. Restaurant. Ever. The fixed menu was a great balance of Thanksgiving and Italian cuisine. The staff accommodated our party's need to sit outdoors, opening up the heated sidewalk hut for us. Those deserts will keep me coming back!
Very good brunch spot. The spot itself is very cute. With the bar in the front and a bunch of tables in there back. There's also an outdoor seating. Got the Aurora Burger. It was cooked perfectly. The caramelized onions could have been chopped up or cut so that they added l were less stringy. The mushrooms were great with it. The fries were crispy as well and the perfect thickness. Great spot to come to for lunch or brunch
